In celebration of March as National Nutrition Month and the beginning of the watermelon growing season, the country’s only rock ‘n roll nutrition show Jump with Jill will kick off the official Eat More Watermelon! Jump with Jill Live Tour throughout schools nationwide with a danceable music video contest. So say hello to video number two in our new classroom calisthenics video series featuring the hit song from the Jump with Jill show, Nature’s Candy. Pompadour hairdo, handkerchief, cape and all, the Rockstar Nutritionist channels her inner James Brown (or shall we say Janelle Monae?) to showcase the electrifying power of choosing fruit over candy. Joined by her band on piano, sax, upright bass, drums, and guitar and her featured dancers to model the moves, the song is presented in three levels to allow kids to master the moves.
If you are a teacher, use this video to incorporate movement into the regular classroom day. If you are a parent, get your kids to have a dance party in the living room. Then film it, post it, and email us the link by May 30th, 2012. We are looking for the best videos to show the world on the Jump with Jill website and a grand prize winner to grant $1,000 and a Watermelon Day Party! Read the full contest details here.
